MIW Water Cooler Experts to donate 25K to Eco-Schools and Keep Britain Tidy
London, UK – MIW Water Cooler Experts have just inked a deal that will see them generously donate £25,000 pounds to environmental charity over the next 5 years. The charity Keep Britain Tidy, are pleased with this partnership, as MIW helps to keep countless tonnes of plastic out of landfills each year, and are constantly innovating new environmentally conscious technologies.
“We are pleased to welcome MIW Water Cooler Experts to the Keep Britain Tidy family. I have no doubt with their water cooler expertise, schools, children and staff will benefit from this partnership greatly.” Ian Parker, Keep Britain Tidy.
By donating this money, MIW and the charity hope to help guide schools around the UK on their journey towards sustainability, providing a framework to help embed these principles into the heart of school life. The donation will be used to help educate children in 9 key areas, including: energy, water, biodiversity, school ground, healthy living, transport, litter, waste and global citizenship.
Business owner and founder Michael Winter is thrilled to be a part of this program. “We are delighted to be involved in such a worthy cause. Many of us recycle at our own homes, but this does so much more – this program is committed to helping change the way our children act and think in the future, and that means a healthier planet for all of us.”
MIW Water Cooler Experts holds the esteemed position of being the UK’s foremost supplier of water coolers to schools. Additionally, we have served as both a supplier and advisor to various government departments, including the Department of Health and blue chip enterprises such as Anglian Water & Yorkshire Water. They are known as industry leading innovators for their eco-friendly designs. Recently, MIW via US Giant “Elkay Manufacturing” has introduced a new bottle filling station that is a shining example of green technology, the main features of which are: it uses only 7 watts of power whilst in operation; it is manufactured using 70% recycled materials; it can fill up to 680 reusable bottles per hour; and it receives top marks from BREEAM (the world’s leading design and assessment method for sustainable buildings).
Michael Winter continues by energetically stating, “with 17,000 schools committed to this eco programme, we have a real chance of affecting meaningful change and making a real difference for their children and children’s children. Myself & all the team at MIW couldn’t be more proud to be allied with Eco-Schools and Keep Britain Tidy.”
