MIW is particularly proud of its involvement in Yorkshire Water’s Cool Schools scheme. The company beat off competition from other suppliers to land this important contract to supply more than 1400 mains-fed water coolers. Almost half the schools in Yorkshire now have these.
Health authorities recommend that children drink at least eight glasses of water during the school day and Yorkshire Water plays its part in meeting this goal. Under its Cool Schools scheme, the company has donated more than 1400 Cool Fuel water coolers.
Well-hydrated children are healthy children: they are more alert and learn better in school. The Cool Schools initiative has recognised this by ensuring that Yorkshire schoolchildren have a ready supply of fresh, chilled water.
The Cool Schools initiative is just one of the community schemes Yorkshire Water runs in an effort to have a positive impact on people’s lives and to be more involved in the community.
MIW is happy to be part of this important community initiative by supplying top quality water coolers for the Cool Schools scheme.
