Already recognised as the UK’s leading authority on drinking fountains and sports bottle refill stations, this spring MIW Water Cooler Experts broadened their horizons, with an expansion of their European sales offering.
The company, which will celebrate 30 years of growth and success in 2019, already has a number of clients on the continent, but the cross-border sales administration process was proving to be labour intensive.
Working with Newcastle-based digital media specialists, Indigo Multimedia, MIW have invested in state of the art internationalisation of the company’s website. Bespoke authenticity software verifies company registration numbers and calculates if goods are tax exempt at the point of order, avoiding time consuming background verification checks. This means that Italian and Spanish customers will be able to receive their goods within 24 hours of checking out – the same time frame as their British counterparts.
Spain and Italy were selected for this initial expansion of services, following extensive research to identify key markets.

Originally based in Gateshead, MIW Water Cooler Expert launched in 1989. Originally trading as a stationer supplying businesses in England’s North East, the company has since expanded to become one of the UK’s leading water supply product professionals.
